Riverwood Graduates Walk
The Riverwood High School graduates, who attended High Point, will be walking the halls TODAY!!!! There were several students who had to take one last final exam so the walk has been changed from the afternoon to 10:00 am.
We will make an announcement a few minutes prior to the walk so that you can get your students settled in the hallway. Please don't have your students go into the hallway until the announcement has been made.
We will play the graduation music and we encourage our students to stand and clap for these graduates. And realize that that will be them someday!!!! Thank you for supporting them and explaining what is occurring with your students.

GMAS Make-Up Testing
GMAS make-up testing will be today and tomorrow for our fourth grade students. Please make sure you keep your students as quiet as possible in the hallways and in the classrooms. We will make an announcement once testing is complete so classes can go outside for recess.

*************************************************
Safety
In light of recent events, we have to remain diligent in our efforts to have a safe and secure environment for staff and students.
Please make sure you are closing windows in the afternoon, not propping open any doors, keeping your keys on you at all times, and are limiting the amount of time individual students are leaving the classroom.
If you have any concerns or questions regarding this, please see Pitchford or DiBartolo. Thanks!!

FCS Strategic Plan Survey
We are committed as a district to supporting our people and culture as an important pillar of our Strategic Plan 2022.  As a school, we need your valuable input to know how we are doing! This feedback will be informative of our work at the local school level and will also help us to identify possible next steps we should take to meet our goals.

Please share your overall experience by taking this 10-minute survey via the link provided below.  Your responses will be reported anonymously.  And, thank you to those who have already provided your responses.

The survey will continue to be open through Friday, May 17, 2019.  We thank you in advance for your important feedback.

Please click https://tinyurl.com/Fulton2022 to provide your input.

Field Day
PK-2nd  8:15-10:45
3rd-5th   11:00-1:30

Field day packets will be placed in your mailbox this week.  Please look it over prior to field day.

PK-2: Please try your best to follow the order of stations.  We had to cut some stations due to construction this year.

Grades 3-5: Please monitor your kids in the water event stations.  In the past, the biggest complaint from volunteers is when kids are dunking their heads in the buckets, not listening, etc.  The volunteers will probably soak your kids with the water hose, just remind them to follow the rules.
I will place a water hose in the carpool area for you to spray your kids!!

ALL: Please be mindful that parents volunteering and supporting the stations during field day are NOT in charge of discipline.
Rules and expectations for each station should be explained prior and each staff member is in charge of closely monitoring students to make sure they are having fun in a safe and respectful manner! Each station should be left as you found it for the next class.

This should be a FUN day for your kids. Please refrain was taking away stations unless there is a discipline issue DURING field day. Otherwise, students should not lose field day for classroom behavior.

We also want YOU to enjoy it.  All other staff will be assigned to a homeroom or a grade level for extra support.
HAVE FUN!

If you have any questions about field day, please see Ms. Bearden.

GMAS 4th Grade
GMAS Testing begins this week for our fourth grade students. The entire building will be in test-taking mode just like we were for the 3rd and 5th graders.

The Media Center will be closed until at least 11:00 each day.

Students will be testing in the computer lab so please do not go through the media center walkway to go to specials.

4th grade lunch and specials will stay the same.

There will be no announcement to start testing however we will make an announcement when all testing is complete for the day.

Classes may go to recess once an email is sent giving the all clear.

Please be mindful while walking in the halls and transitioning to specials.

Staff Apparel
We have a new school brand/logo that will roll-out in August and we want to celebrate our new brand with apparel for our staff members! If you are returning next year, please go to the front office mail room to choose either:
  •           a 3/4 zipper pull over

                           OR

The color will be different but there are sample sizes for you to try on if you wish.

Watts - 8:55- 9: 15

PBIS: Focus Playground
Mr. DiBartolo and the entire PBIS Committee are asking that grade levels assign positions when outside at recess to reduce the increasing number of behavioral incidents.
