Enrollment Survey
A student enrollment survey will be in your boxes this week for all homeroom teachers to send home Thursday, the 6th. This survey helps us get an idea of which students will be returning for FY20-21. Students need to return this form by February 27th. Please give all forms that state "WILL NOT BE RETURNING" in Parker's box. All other forms may be discarded. Thanks!!!

PBIS Info and Data
The focus for February will be HALLWAYS with a focus on transitions.
Please make sure you are constantly monitoring students during transitions (typically math) and in the hallways.
Remind students to walk quietly as to not disrupt classes, not touch the walls so we can keep walls clean and bulletin boards neat, and use a hallway pass whenever possible!

Data for January is below. We have had an influx in office referrals so please make sure you are reiterating the rules and expectations to all students.

GA Health Personnel Survey for CCRPI
If you have not already done so, please complete this 31 question survey (3 minutes long) which gives us our school's Climate Rating. EVERYONE at this school has to complete this survey. As of right now, we only have 61% participation by staff. We HAVE to have 75%. Please fill it out!!!
Please remember that #14 and #17 are worded the opposite of the other questions.
If you feel the need to answer "strongly disagree" to the majority of the questions, please see Pitchford before you submit this survey. This is a state survey so results will not be shared and action can not be taken. In order to evoke change, the conversation needs to be had at the school level rather than through this survey. Thank you so much!!!!

Microsoft Translator
The ESOL teachers had an introductory training on Microsoft Translator.   It is an app that can translate into several languages!   You can also take pictures of assignments and it will translate the assignment into the language of your choice.  Students and parents may also speak to others in their language and it will translate what they are saying to English.

Please let your ESOL teacher know if you have any questions.  We are just learning how to use this app with our students, but would love to share what we know so we can involve our parents more!

February Parent/Teacher Conferences
The parent/teacher partnership is crucial for students' success. This is why our parent/teacher conference "window" is from February 3rd - 28th in order to allow all teachers to meet with parents early on to share student data, discuss strengths, and areas of potential growth.

K-2 will hold their conferences using the conference checklist found in their grade level folder.

3-5 will also hold conferences using the conference checklist but will have the students present to either be a part of the conversation or to lead the conversation. We want our students to take ownership of their learning so this is a start!

Parents were notified of this expectation. If you have any questions, please let Pitchford know. Thank you for working with all parents to help our students succeed!

CCRPI Targets
Below are our achievement scores in ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies for all students and subgroups. While we made a huge jump this past year, there is no reason why we can't climb any higher. We should not have any less than 80% of our students scoring a level 2, 3, or 4 on the GMAS. This is doable!!!!
