TKES
Formative Observations have already begun and will continue to go until the last day of school. These observations will not be announced and they will be split between Pitchford and Alexander.

The Formative Assessment will be shared with you within 5 working days. Please let us know if you would like to meet concerning your assessment. Post-conferences are optional.

Summative Evaluations will be completed and shared immediately following your second Formative Assessment.

CHANGE: All of the Summative Evaluations will be completed by Pitchford therefore all of the Summative Conferences will be held by Pitchford. Each teacher will receive an email requesting that they submit two days and times that would work for a 15 minute conference. Post-planning can also be used for Summative Conferences if needed.

Heads-Up Regarding RTI Folders
During post-planning, Jacque and I will be collecting orange folders for tier 2 students. You will “check them in” to us, and we will “check them out” to next year’s teachers.  You will need to check in an orange folder for all students currently on tier 2. There are a stack of orange folders in the front office if you need any.                                                                                                         -Rachel Salmons

Classroom Parties
It is almost that time of year again…….PARTY time in classrooms. If you have any funds left in your “local account” (this is the account that you collect money from students for t-shirts, field trips, etc.) you can use it towards your expenses for the EOY party. You will need to fill out a check requisition form and turn it in to me for Carrie to approve. I can then give you a check and a tax exempt form to use at whatever store you indicate on your request. You must use this form and receive the tax exempt form before making any purchases on your own. If you purchase without this, it may not be a reimbursable expense. I cannot reimburse any taxes you pay. Thank you for your understanding.

****VISUALS OF BEST PRACTICES****
Ms. Hayes, created Independent choiceboards for her 2nd,3rd, and 4th grade EIP students. The choiceboard addresses various multiple intelligences.  One benefit of using multiple intelligences in your classroom is that you will provide opportunities for authentic learning based on your students' needs, interests and talents. The multiple intelligence classroom acts like the "real" world: the author and the illustrator of a book are equally valuable creators. Students become more active, involved learners.
