As always, the musical Annie was a great success!!!!! Many thanks for Amanda Reich for her dedication, leadership, and commitment to our students. There was such amazing talent on that stage! Also, a huge thanks for Lizette Stovall, Michelle Dickie, Colleen Zeller, Mari Park and Michael Hunter for their support of our musical as well!

SSEF STEAM Event!

Sandy Springs Education Force invites adults and kids of all ages to experience dozens of next-generation, interactive, hands-on exhibits from local luminaries in science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics (STEAM). 

Learn about our STEAM initiatives in Sandy Springs public schools and network with community, education, business and government leaders. 

• Enjoy a fun-filled, hands-on robotic and Internet of Things (IoT) wonderland! 

• Try your hand at exciting MakerSpace activities and coding robotics. 

• Experience real Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) tools and examine your own fingerprints! 

• Take a selfie while filmmaking professionals demonstrate how they'd light you on a movie set.

Congratulations to Rhodope Fears who has been chosen as one of the 13 Silver Beaver Award recipients for the Atlanta Area Council, Boy Scouts of America. This is a wonderful honor and we are very proud of her accomplishments!

PreK Summative Assessment

Digital Learning Day

Homeroom teachers: please make sure that you are keeping track of how many students were able to participate in the digital learning day. The county has stated they will be asking for this information so we want everyone to be prepared should you be required to turn in that data.

Phonics Spotlight

A huge congratulations to 1st grade teachers for moving their students in phonics!! 87% of the students in 1st grade are meeting or exceeding the benchmark in BLAST Phonics this year. We are so excited for them and their students. Keep up the good work!!!!

Student Absences

We have had a total of 1389 absences for the last 30 days which is way higher than in the previous year or previous months. Please make sure you are following the appropriate protocol for when students are absent. If a student brings in a note, you HAVE to make sure you are coding it appropriately in TAC. If you have a concern about a student, please see Ms. Hutchins!!!!! These absences are part of our CCRPI score so it's imperative we are encouraging our students to come to school!!!!
