TKES
As a reminder, we are completing our walkthroughs for FULL employees. We will only be assessing standard #8 - Academically Challenging Environment during this walkthrough.
Formative observations for FLEX employees will begin this month as well. After the observation, all 10 standards will be rated. Teachers will have three days following the observation to turn in additional artifacts to support any ratings.
FLEX employees will be notified one week prior to the observation.
Conferences after the walkthroughs and formatives can be requested but will not be required. Please reach out to Pitchford or DiBartolo with any questions!!
February 20th
As you are already aware, February 20th will now be a regular school day for our students. We have decided to cancel this RFF Professional Development Day since our students have missed so much school already due to weather.
We will not hold any meetings that afternoon in order for you to conduct some parent/teacher conferences if needed!!
If parents have already scheduled a trip and their child will be absent on the 16th or 20th, their child will be counted as unexcused. With that said though, students can be given make-up work to complete.
Thank you for your flexibility.
Clinic Reminder!
Please remember to fill out a Clinic Pass for your student so Ms. Dickie knows why the student is being sent to her.
With the current flu season upon us, this information is recorded and being collected by the county. We also ask that you please do not call their parents to come get them. She will call their parents if necessary.
Additional Clinic Passes are in the mailroom should you need them.
Thanks for your help!

504 Reminders
504 Reminders
Please take a moment to look over the accommodations for your students with 504 plans to be sure that you are implementing all accommodations listed with fidelity. Remember, you are legally required to give students all accommodations listed on their plan. They should only stop receiving an accommodation after we have had a meeting to remove it from their plan. If you have any questions please speak to Rachel Wooden in person.

Schedule: I'll be at High Point on W 2/7 and Th 2/8
Highlights: Implementing best practices is a work in progress, for we are always learning and trying new things. However, you are all doing such a great job! Every week in the Monday Notes, I'd like to 'shine the spotlight' to show off a teacher or grade level trying something new or putting a strategy into action. If you want to share what you're working on, let me know when and where and I'll be there to capture the moment!
Notes: Do your students need more practice with typing in preparation for online testing? Try using Easy Tech Keyboarding to give them the structured activities they need to develop their typing skills. This program can be accessed by students through Launch Pad under the icon, Learning.com. Some options for implementing this program include: assigning it for homework, allowing students to log on when finished with an assignment early, including it in your choice boards, or offering it as morning work!
