Instructional Rounds
We are scheduled to have our last round of Instructional Rounds on May 3rd. The Central Learning Community team will be here again to observe in classrooms and give feedback towards Rigor and Relevance.
We know there are field trips, events, STAR testing, etc... going on so please do not change anything that you are doing. We will welcome them into our school like always and show them the amazing things happening here at High Point!

Math Materials
Return
Our last day school-wide for
RTI is April 28. Kerstin will be coming around to collect Do the Math
kits the first week in May.
Please have your kits packed
up and inventoried by May 3. Kerstin will stop by May 4
& 5 to pick up kits. If you need inventory forms, please email
Kerstin and she will get them to you. She will collect ENI kits the last
week of school.
*If you want to hold on to
your DtM kit so you can finish the last few lessons, that is fine! Please
let Kerstin know you want to keep it an extra week or two.*
Finally, if you are leaving
High Point to start a new adventure, you will need to check in any Title I math
resources you have been using in your classroom. Kerstin will send a
separate email letting you know when you can check in Title I math materials;
check-in will take place the week of May 23. If you will be with us next
year, you can hold onto any Title I materials you have been using and store
them in your classrooms.

Device Dilemma
Please remember to have discussed the following prior to tomorrow's faculty meeting:
Dilemma: How do we redesign our school and classrooms in order to support our personalized learning vision?
(Vision: All students are self-motivated, connected and active participants in their learning and the world around them.)
Current Devices (not including staff devices):
254 desktop computers
50 laptop computers
165 student ipads
Projected Devices by Mid-Year (not including staff devices but including current devices):
254 desktop computers
331 laptop computers
165 student ipads
Reimagining Current Spaces for Digital Learning:
Classrooms
Media Center
Computer Lab
Portables
Task # 1: For 2016-2017, create a proposal for redistributing current devices and reimagining current learning spaces.
Questions to ponder:
Do we have to have a computer lab?
How might the media center look?
How might your classrooms look?
Does everyone need the same amount of devices?
Are certain devices more appropriate for different grade levels?
Task # 2: Describe how your current proposal would change once we receive our additional devices.
